Still Drifting – A Long-Overdue Check-In from ThiNXx
Sup yawl!
It’s been a minute… but I’m back with some reflections and news about ThiNXx new music 2025 – and life in general.
I know it’z been a minute since my last update… There have been points where I honestly wondered if I’d ever get to write hear again… These last few years have been one hell of a roller coaster, with mega upz n’ serious downs… Begging to touch the stage again some day too, fingers crossed.
At the beginning of last year I decided to try working for myself and started my own company, cos’ I naivley thought it would give me time to pursue all the things I love… but it just ended up engulfing me completely and I’ve just hit wall after wall, tryna make it work with music ever disappearing over the horizon… Felt like I couldn’t breath at points as overwhelm consumed my essence, but I’m glad to say that the sun has come full circle and as I look east, I’m staring to see a beautiful new sunrise filling the sky with it’z light and bringing some light back into my life for the first time in a very long time.
I called it xX Developments – basically just me doin’ websites, design, dev, branding… tryna help folks show up online while somehow makin’ ends meet. Been a wild ride running solo – logo work one day, server crashes the next. Mad respect to anyone buildin’ somethin’ from scratch out there. It’s real out here.
One thing I’ve learnt juggling all this – is that time don’t just show up for you… You gotta fight for it. I thought workin’ for myself meant freedom, but it really just meant being pulled in every direction till I lost sight of the very thing that started it all. The beats. The rhymes. The reason. Still tryna find that balance every damn day.
If I could just now reverse the introversion that’s exploded from my ocd, I could even see myself getting back into full swing in the not too distant future! 🙂
Still working on the album I started in 2018, and even have a new single coming up soon if I can conquer my perfectionism and allow myself to stop being so judgemental and set it free… Even still tryna finish the major collaboration track I’ve been working on since 2014, so hopefully soon my dearest peeps.
My Facebook page also blew up in 2022, and I was imensly overwealmed by mass spam messaging from bots that just kept on an on… it was unbelievable and I’ve now disabled facebook messaging to try preseve my sanity…
But alas… there is still light on the horizon and conquirng my helpless mind, I actually set free my 2011 album “Change the Channel” and it’s now available on Bandcamp again for streaming and purchase… I also have about a million CD’s of that, and “Sentiments to Cinders” available… So if anyone still has a CD player drop me a message or email thinxx@thinxx.org and I can sort you out a sweet deal. â¤ï¸

ThiNXx New Music 2025
I’m pretty pleased to say that I actually managed to finish something, and I’m dropping my new music video for “Death’s Grip (OF Take)” lifted from my 2023 Death’s Grip EP, and this will be dropping on 26 June 2025 on Youtube, and this is the Pre-Save Link!
I’m beyond excited to share it with ya and n’ hope you’s dig it. 🙂
I’m really grateful for each and every one of you’s that have supported me throughout, despite the broken barriers and wallz my mind created… To those still drifting… keep going… To those ascended… you’ll never be forgotten… and to those I’ve neglected, I apologise profusely and hope we meet again someday… I am a better person because of yawl… and it’s your light that keeps driving me out of the darkness, and I’ll keep pushing till my last breath because this is simply who I am.
Big shoutout to all my fellow indie creatives tryin’ to do it all — balancing life, art, sanity, survival. If you’re still out here making something outta nothin’, still creating through the chaos — I see you. I feel you. Keep movin’.
So what’s next…? Hopefully a few more releases, maybe a show or two if the timing feels right. Just tryna clear some of these dusty projects off the shelf and get back to that spark. Gonna let it flow. One track at a time. Keep your ears peeled for more ThiNXx new music 2025 soon…
